Frequently asked questions
No. Sinus Index is not a medical device, diagnosis, or treatment app. It helps you view environmental conditions with your own logs. Seek professional care for pain or fever that lasts longer than normal, or for symptoms that concern you.
No. Sinusitis is inflammation of the sinuses; head or facial pain can be one symptom, and pain can have other causes. The app does not determine the cause of symptoms.
It combines available environmental data and the personal inputs you choose into a readable summary. It is not a probability of a health outcome, a disease forecast, or a diagnosis.
Core weather data comes from Apple WeatherKit. Pollen and air-quality providers can vary by region and data availability, and the app accesses them through replaceable provider interfaces.
Location is optional and is used for the approximate area required for an environmental request. Personal journal content stays on the device; analytics events do not include location, symptom text, or free-form text.
